Sunflower fields in Nghe An are ready to bloom
(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, the sunflower fields in Nghe An are preparing to bloom, promising a brilliant sunflower festival season. According to the plan, this year's Sunflower Festival will take place for 3 days from December 27 to 29 in Nghia Dan district.
To serve the Sunflower Festival, the flower growing unit has expanded the sunflower growing area to nearly 100 hectares. From only growing to make supplementary food for TH company's cows in 2010, now every December, sunflowers bloom in abundance with brilliant yellow color, creating an attractive beauty, attracting tens of thousands of tourists. Sunflowers in Nghia Dan have become an important highlight in tourism development, attracting domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to promoting the scenic spots and unique cultural values of Nghe An.

The beauty of the flower field quickly spread on Facebook and was shared by the online community. A representative of the flower growing unit said: “This year we are planting flowers on a larger scale, and also making wide roads for tourists to come and see the flowers. Along with that, we are building a traffic safety corridor and a flower protection corridor, ensuring the most beautiful flower field for tourists from near and far to admire.”

Ms. Le Ngoc Linh - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Nghia Dan district said: Nearly 100 hectares of sunflowers this year were planted in the fields along Ho Chi Minh road; Around farms 1 - 3 along the Sao river, in Trung Chinh hamlet, Nghia Lam commune. It is expected that in early December, the first batch of sunflowers will begin to bloom and will bloom most during the festival.
Besides planting flowers to welcome tourists from all over the country to visit and admire, the locality also organizes many unique cultural and artistic activities during the festival days.
