(Baonghean.vn) - After 6 years of starting, to date, Area B - Nghe An General Friendship Hospital has not been completed. Provincial leaders and agencies have expressed doubts that the committed deadline given by the investor will not be fulfilled.
On the morning of October 8, a working delegation led by Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa inspected the implementation of the "Project to develop health care towards socialization, improve the quality of disease prevention and treatment in the period 2017 - 2020".

Inspecting the actual situation and listening to the report on the recent performance of the Central Ear - Nose - Throat Hospital, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa requested the investor to continue researching and expanding the scale of the hospital. In particular, not to pursue profits while ignoring the quality of medical care and patient service.
The delegation then inspected Area B - Nghe An General Hospital. This project has a total investment of 1,300 billion VND, started in 2013. However, due to the slow construction progress, the project has not been put into use yet.

According to the investor representative, the project has basically completed the construction of the rough part of the project and is in the stage of finishing and installing equipment. "In the past, due to general difficulties in the project's legal issues, the bank stopped disbursing capital many times. This led to the construction progress being behind schedule," the investor representative said and committed that by February 26, 2020, this project will officially operate.
However, representatives of departments, branches and provincial leaders doubted the feasibility of this deadline. Because there is still a lot of work to be completed, while the number of workers is lacking.
Concluding the inspection, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa requested the investor to calculate and have a plan to speed up the progress to operate on time as committed.
When construction began, this project was expected to be completed and put into use in the second quarter of 2018. However, that deadline was delayed by more than 2 years.
