At around 12 noon that same day, seeing no police patrolling, Kiet's group continued gambling. At this time, Hoang was drinking with his relatives nearby and spoke up: "If they don't let you gamble, why play?"

Being reminded, Kiet and Minh went to talk to Hoang and then got into an argument. During the fight, Hoang used a knife to attack Minh, causing injuries to Kiet. Minh was taken to the emergency room by the people but due to severe injuries, he died before reaching the hospital.

Kiet went to the hospital by himself. After committing the crime, Hoang turned himself in to the police station. Ninh Kieu District Police Department coordinated with other professional units to examine the scene and investigate the case.
