Nearly 60 police raided a cockfighting ring, arrested 30 people
After many hours of ambush, the police raided the cockfighting arena and arrested 30 people, confiscating more than 100 million VND, a car, and 21 motorbikes.
On the evening of January 20, Cam Xuyen District Police (Ha Tinh) said they were taking statements from 30 people from Thach Ha, Loc Ha, Cam Xuyen districts, Ha Tinh city and Ky Anh district to clarify gambling behavior in the form of cockfighting.

At noon of the same day, nearly 60 police officers including Cam Xuyen District Police and the Department ofCriminal Police of Ha Tinh Policeraided the house of Mr. Dau Van Loc (44 years old, residing in Cam Due commune).
Authorities discovered dozens of people gathered in the yard to open a cockfighting ring. Some gamblers panicked and fled but were restrained. Police detained 30 people along with more than 100 million VND, a car, 21 motorbikes and some related evidence.

The investigation team said this was a mobile gambling den that frequently changed locations, making it very difficult to access. To collect evidence, detectives had to lie in wait and monitor for many months.
The case is under further investigation.
