Mr. Long and Ms. Mai's family are poor and in extremely difficult circumstances. Ms. Mai has a serious heart condition and now has severe pneumonia, edema, and pleural effusion and is receiving long-term treatment at Bach Mai Hospital.
The couple’s first child has a mental disorder. The second child was born prematurely at 6 months, weighing only 0.8 kg and is currently in an incubator at Nghe An General Hospital. The house is dilapidated and in disrepair, and there is nothing valuable in the house. Long alone, working hard day and night, cannot afford the food, medicine, and hospital fees for his wife and children.
On this occasion, the family representative, the two children's grandmother, received 6,500,000 VND in cash and a gift worth 100,000 VND.
