World coffee prices today

On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached $4,468/ton, down 2.47% ($113/ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract fell 2.38% ($105/ton) to $4,309/ton.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery decreased by 0.04% (0.15 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 385.6 US cents/pound. The contract for December 2025 delivery decreased by 0.2% (0.75 US cents/pound), reaching 373.65 US cents/pound.

World coffee prices on two major exchanges fell sharply at the end of the week. The main reason came from investors' expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) would soon cut interest rates. This information was reinforced after the US Department of Labor announced that non-farm payrolls in August increased by only 22,000, significantly lower than the 75,000 forecast by experts.

Another factor affecting coffee prices is developments in trade policy. US President Donald Trump has filed an appeal to the Supreme Court to defend the reciprocal tariff policy after an unfavorable ruling from the appeals court. He warned that the US may have to cancel many trade agreements if it fails.

This situation raises the possibility that tariffs on coffee, especially from Brazil, could be reduced, helping to calm the market and cause coffee prices to fall in the short term.
