Domestic coffee prices rise again

Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:20 a.m. on September 13 as follows: Domestic coffee prices continue to be stable, the average coffee price in the Central Highlands provinces is 65,600 VND/kg, of which the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 66,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is 65,500 VND/kg. In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 65,400 VND/kg.

Coffee exports in the first 8 months of 2023 decreased by 5.37% compared to the same period in 2022.

Green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 65,100 VND/kg.

In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee price is currently at 65,800 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 65,700 VND/kg.

The General Department of Vietnam Customs has just reported preliminary data showing that coffee exports in August reached only 84,647 tons (about 1.41 million bags), down 30.97% year-on-year, lower than the previous estimate of the General Statistics Office of 90 thousand tons, so the cumulative coffee exports in the first 8 months of 2023 decreased by only 5.37% compared to the same period in 2022.

Gold prices 9999, SJC, 24K, DOJI, PNJ continue to decrease

Gold prices continue to fall today. Currently, SJC gold price is 68.10 million VND/tael. World gold prices are falling.

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 68.05 million VND/tael for buying and 68.85 million VND/tael for selling.

At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, at the time of survey, the listed price of SJC gold was at 68.30 - 68.70 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 68.15 - 68.80 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 68.15 - 68.80 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

Yen exchange rate shows signs of decline after a few days of short-lived increase

Japanese Yen exchange rate surveyed on the morning of September 13 at banks, specifically as follows:

At Vietcombank, the buying rate is 160.36 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 169.85 VND/JPY, up 0.52 VND and 0.62 VND, respectively.

At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.43 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 159.71 VND/JPY and 169.41 VND/JPY.

At BIDV, the buying rate decreased by 0.79 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.83 VND to 160.2 VND/JPY and 168.7 VND/JPY.

At Agribank, the buying and selling rates are 161.67 VND/JPY and 165.72 VND/JPY, respectively - an increase of 0.03 VND in buying and selling.

At Eximbank, the buying and selling rates decreased by 0.37 VND and 0.38 VND, respectively, to 161.69 VND/JPY and 166.23 VND/JPY. At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen rate decreased by 0.37 VND and 0.4 VND, respectively, to 157.47 VND/JPY and 169.75 VND/JPY. At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen rate decreased by 0.41 VND and 0.45 VND, respectively, to 168.2 VND/JPY.

According to the survey, Eximbank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Agribank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the surveyed banks.

USD price increased slightly

The central USD/VND exchange rate today (September 13) was announced by the State Bank at 24,981 VND/USD, down 24 VND compared to the listed rate on September 12. Meanwhile, the world USD exchange rate is currently at 104 points.

Currently, the USD exchange rate that commercial banks are allowed to trade is from 23,400 - 25,155 VND/USD. The selling exchange rate is also adjusted by the State Bank of Vietnam to the buying and selling range of 23,400 - 25,155 VND/USD.

The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of slight increases at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank increased 35 VND for the buying price of 23,920 and the selling price of 24,260. The buying and selling prices of USD are currently in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.
