The increase in pig prices is due to the impact of domestic epidemics, which reduces the ability to recover and rebuild the herd, leading to a shortage of supply. In addition, natural disasters such as storms and floods also have an impact.
The Vietnam Animal Husbandry Association forecasts that the price of live pigs will continue to remain at 65,000 to 70,000 VND/kg in the coming time, creating favorable conditions for livestock farmers to invest.
By the end of the year, pig prices are unlikely to fall, but they are unlikely to rise either. Farmers should restock in a controlled manner, avoid massive restocking, and maintain a stable restocking plan, and should not restock at too high a cost.
