The family of Mr. Dinh Van Huy, in Phuoc Tuy commune, Can Duoc district, has just sold more than 20 pigs and re-raised 30 pigs, of which 25 pigs will be used for the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025. Mr. Huy said that with the current price, each pig after sale can bring in a profit of 1.5 - 1.7 million VND.
He also emphasized that during the Tet holiday, the weather is often cold and rainy, so disease prevention is a top priority. Before restocking, he disinfected and cleaned all barns and livestock equipment to minimize the risk of disease.
“Currently, I am not worried about prices but most worried about diseases. Therefore, I always pay attention to disease prevention and biosecurity. Every week, I disinfect the barn three times and regularly clean and bathe the pigs,” Huy shared.
