In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), rice purchases are slow and purchasing power is average, prices fluctuate.

Market rice prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday. IR 504 Summer-Autumn raw rice has decreased to 10,650 - 10,750 VND/kg, down 50 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice has decreased to 12,800 - 13,000 VND/kg, down 200 VND/kg.

At retail markets, rice prices remained unchanged. According to the latest information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang:

IR 50404 rice price increased by 200 VND, ranging from 7,400 to 7,600 VND/kg.

Dai Thom 8 rice decreased by 100 VND, priced from 7,900 to 8,200 VND/kg.

OM 5451 rice decreased by 100 to 200 VND, with prices ranging from 7,600 to 7,900 VND/kg.

OM 18 rice decreased by 100 VND, price from 7,900 to 8,200 VND/kg.

OM 380 rice costs from 7,600 to 7,800 VND/kg.

Japanese rice price remains from 7,800 to 8,000 VND/kg.

Dried Nang Nhen rice is sold at 20,000 VND/kg.

The glutinous rice market remained unchanged from yesterday, with prices unchanged. IR 4625 glutinous rice is priced between VND7,400 and VND7,600 per kg. An Giang glutinous rice is priced between VND7,000 and VND7,200 per kg.

The price of rice by-products ranges from 6,450 to 8,800 VND/kg. Specifically, OM 5451 broken rice costs from 8,600 to 8,800 VND/kg. Dried bran costs from 6,450 to 6,650 VND/kg.

Export rice price today September 13, 2024

Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged from yesterday. 100% broken rice was priced at $452 per ton; 5% standard rice was priced at $567 per ton; and 25% broken rice was priced at $533 per ton, according to the Vietnam Food Association.

In the first eight months of the year, Vietnam exported more than 6.15 million tons of rice, earning $3.85 billion. Compared to the previous year, the volume of rice exports increased by 5.8% and the value increased by 21.7%. The average export price of rice is currently $625/ton, up 14.8% compared to 2023.

Rice is Vietnam's fifth largest agricultural export, after wood, seafood, vegetables and coffee. Vietnam's main rice import markets include the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and China.

The Philippines was the largest export market, with 2.808 million tons of rice exported in the first eight months of the year, accounting for 54.35% of total exports.

Indonesia ranked second, with 913,888 thousand tons of rice imported from Vietnam, accounting for 14.85% of total exports.

Malaysia was the third largest market, with 582,872 thousand tons of rice imported in the first 8 months of the year.
