Export rice price today September 9, 2024
Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged from yesterday, at $452 per ton for 100% broken rice, $573 per ton for 5% standard rice, and $535 per ton for 25% broken rice.
Vietnamese rice exporters predict that exports will be favorable in the final months of the year and could reach a record revenue of 5 billion USD, thanks to high demand from major markets such as the Philippines and Indonesia.
In the first eight months, Vietnam's rice export revenue reached 3.85 billion USD, up 21.7%, with export volume of 6.16 million tons, up 5.9%. The average export price was 625 USD/ton, up 14.8%.
Meanwhile, Indian rice export prices fell to a three-month low due to weak demand, and Thai rice prices rose to their highest since late June due to a strong baht.
Rice prices in Bangladesh also rose this week, with some traders blaming the rise on the flooding, despite large inventories and unaffected supply chains.
