Vietnam’s pepper export industry is expected to reach its target of $1 billion by the end of 2024. Due to reduced pepper stocks, exports in the last months of 2024 will be lower than in previous years and will continue to be so until March 2025.

Global pepper prices are likely to rise and remain high until the new harvest season in Vietnam begins next year. Vietnam, one of the leading exporters of the spice, earns about $1.5 billion a year from the industry.

Vietnamese spices have been sold to more than 125 countries, dominating many large markets. Pepper is the main export product, with strong growth in value and output. Increasing processed products and trade promotion are the keys to expanding the Vietnamese spice market globally.
