Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,130 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 108.77 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 11.73 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
World gold prices rose again and recorded the strongest weekly increase in more than a month, thanks to the depreciation of the USD and concerns about the US fiscal outlook, causing investors to flock to gold as a safe haven.
Specifically, the spot gold price increased by 0.06%, this week, gold increased by 3.89%, the highest level since April 7. Meanwhile, the gold futures price in the US also increased by 1.1%, to 3,329.80 USD/ounce.
The US dollar fell more than 1% for the week, its biggest weekly decline since early April, making gold cheaper for investors using other currencies.
According to Tim Waterer, a market analyst at KCM Trade, optimism about trade has given way to concerns about the US fiscal situation. Caution towards US assets has led investors to return to gold. He said that gold prices are likely to remain above $3,000 if factors such as tariffs, US debt and geopolitical tensions continue to affect financial markets.
The Republican-controlled House of Representatives has passed a massive tax and spending bill that implements much of former President Donald Trump’s policies and adds trillions of dollars to the national debt. The bill now moves to the Senate, where Republicans hold a narrow 53-47 majority.

Meanwhile, spot silver edged up 0.3% to $33.16 an ounce, platinum rose 0.9% to $1,091.43. Palladium, on the other hand, fell 0.1% to $1,014.
