Gasoline prices today September 19: Gasoline prices increased simultaneously from 3:00 p.m. September 18. E10 gasoline adjusted to increase sharply
Domestic gasoline prices today
The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 18. Specifically as follows:
- E5 RON92 gasoline price increased by 230 VND, to a maximum of 19,986 VND/liter.
- RON95 gasoline price increased by 208 VND, reaching 20,608 VND/liter.
- E10 RON 95-III gasoline price increased sharply by 560 VND, reaching 20,600 VND/liter.
- Diesel oil increased by 62 VND to 18,705 VND/liter.
- Kerosene price increased by 176 VND to 18,544 VND/liter.
- Fuel oil price increased by 40 VND, to 15,130 VND/kg.
During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, world oil prices fluctuated last week due to many factors. The Fed just lowered interest rates, US crude oil inventories decreased while distillate inventories increased.
In addition, the situation in Ukraine, which has continuously attacked Russian oil refineries and ports, has also made the oil market unpredictable. All of this affects the decision to manage domestic gasoline prices, to ensure compliance with global fluctuations.
The Joint Ministry also maintains the price difference between E5 RON 92 biofuel and RON 95 gasoline to encourage biofuel consumption according to the Government's direction.
Gasoline discounts at businesses
On September 18, gasoline discounts of some businesses were adjusted to quite high levels.
At Hoang Trong system, RON 95 III gasoline discount ranges from 950 - 1,200 VND/liter depending on the warehouse.
Tu Luc Enterprise offers a discount of VND1,150/liter for both E5 and RON 95 gasoline, while Diesel has a discount of VND1,150 - 1,300/liter.
With MIPEC, the discount rate in the North is commonly 1,000 - 1,300 VND/liter depending on the type.
Prospects of E10 biofuel
Vietnam Petroleum Association (Vinpas) said that Vietnam has enough production and import capacity to widely deploy E10 gasoline. This is a biofuel expected to become the mainstay in the near future.
E10 is not only environmentally friendly but can also be 20-30% cheaper than mineral gasoline and E5, opening up opportunities to promote green consumption trends in the energy industry.
