According to the representative of the leader of PC45 of Tay Ninh Provincial Police, in recent times, the crime of human trafficking in the form of illegal marriage brokerage, organizing blind dates to choose wives, fake marriages... to trick women into selling them abroad (mainly to China) in the province has been very complicated.

Many foreigners or those with foreign husbands returning to Vietnam collude with domestic subjects to approach and entice young girls to go abroad, saying they will work for high salaries, marry rich men, or organize for foreign men to enter Vietnam to meet, choose wives... Then take the victims out of the country under the guise of traveling or visiting relatives.

But when they arrived abroad, the criminals took all their identity papers, sold them to other men to be their wives, and took them to remote mountainous areas. When the victims did not agree, they were beaten, locked in a room, denied food and water, and forced to call their families to send ransom money of 40-60 million VND/person.

Based on the above situation, the Board of Directors of Tay Ninh Provincial Police directed functional units to establish specialized projects to prevent crimes related to human trafficking; coordinate with the Criminal Police Department, the Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security), Ho Chi Minh City Police and the provinces of Dong Nai, Long An, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Tan Son Nhat Airport Police Station... to regularly coordinate, exchange information, organize the destruction and prevention of many networks and cases related to human trafficking, rescue and reunite victims with their families.

Typically, on May 5, 2015, at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), officers and soldiers of the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of Tay Ninh Province Police, in coordination with professional units of Tan Son Nhat Airport, caught red-handed three subjects Wang Pei Cheng (Chinese nationality), Ly Thi Dinh and Chau Thi Thuy Trang while they were doing procedures for three Vietnamese women and three Chinese men from the domestic terminal to go to Hanoi, with the intention of continuing to China to sell to these three men.

Through the investigation, the police continued to urgently arrest three other related subjects, Huynh Thi Thin, Duong Thi Nhin and Huang Qin Lu. The subjects confessed that from before until their arrest, they had successfully sold 15 women to China.

According to Tay Ninh Provincial Police, through solving cases and exploiting arrested criminals, over a period of 5 years, they successfully lured and transported 478 Vietnamese women (mainly from Tay Ninh province and neighboring provinces) to China for sale. Of these, some were rescued, some escaped on their own, and currently there are over 200 women who have not been rescued because their specific addresses have not been determined./.
