'Zero-dong stall' shares difficulties in epidemic areas in Dien Chau

(Baonghean.vn) - The "zero-dong stalls" in communes under lockdown and social isolation according to Directive 16 in Dien Chau (Nghe An) have partly shared the difficulties of frontline epidemic prevention teams and those in difficult circumstances.

These days,Dien Chau districtare implementing social distancing according to Directive 15, including 6 communes that must be strictly isolated according to Directive 16 of the Government to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic: Dien Thinh, Dien Trung, Dien Cat, Dien Tan, Dien Kim and Minh Chau commune.

For communes that must be locked down,social distancing according to Directive 16, since people are not allowed to go out unless it is necessary, the shortage of essential goods in the blockaded area is inevitable. To promptly support people as well as the anti-epidemic team on the front line, in these 6 communes, there are "zero-dong stalls" and a team of shippers to serve the people.

Mr. Ngo Thanh Cong - Secretary of Dien Chau District Youth Union said: "0 VND booth", initially built by the Provincial Youth Union at a number of points, after achieving practical results, the Standing Committee of Dien Chau District Youth Union deployed it to all 6 communes that are under social isolation according to Directive 16/CP. Accordingly, all essential necessities at the "zero-dong booth" are supported by organizations and individuals inside and outside the district.

At the "zero-dong booths", food, essential food, masks, hand sanitizer, etc. are arranged, when the local frontline epidemic prevention team and people have real needs, especially those in difficult circumstances, poor households, and policy households, the youth group will ship them to their doorstep.

Unlike other communes, Dien Thinh commune has a large number of local civil servants who must be quarantined, because the positive case is related to a commune official. Therefore, these days, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district has assigned departments and offices to directly direct and manage epidemic prevention work in the locality.

Mr. Le The Hieu - Head of the Department of Agriculture of Dien Chau district said that in the condition that the entire Dien Thinh commune had to be socially isolated according to Directive 16, facing many difficulties for the epidemic prevention team, quarantine areas and people, the "zero-dong booth" implemented by the Youth Union has partly solved the problem.necessitiesat least on the spot.
