Tornado causes electric pole to fall, buffalo to be struck by lightning and killed
(Baonghean.vn) - After a 30-minute thunderstorm, several electric poles were broken and a buffalo was struck dead by lightning.
On the afternoon of May 15, in Thanh Chuong district, an incident occurred.tornado, heavy rain with gusts of wind and thunder.

The storm lasted about 30 minutes (2:15 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.) and caused property damage to several families and public works.

Strong gusts of wind caused some electric poles of the 110 kw line in Minh Tan hamlet, Vo Liet commune to fall on rice fields, causing some communes on the right bank of Lam river such as Vo Liet, Thanh Long... to lose power.
During heavy rain, lightning struck and killed a buffalo of Mr. Le Van Ngu's family residing in hamlet 6, Thanh Luong commune, while the buffalo was grazing in the field.

After the storm, Thanh Chuong Electricity sent forces to inspect the scene and fix the broken electric pole. It is expected that the Thanh Long commune area will be without power for several days.
