Ms. Chinh said: The facility's seafood purchasing takes place all year round, but the main season is in the 12th lunar month. Therefore, if on normal days, my facility purchases about 500kg to 1 ton of seafood, then during Tet, the quantity can be up to 5-7 tons/day. Being proactive in the source of goods will help the facility stabilize prices during Tet.
According to some traders, despite the impact ofCovid-19 epidemicHowever, the prices of seafood products are as high as last year's pre-Tet period. Specifically: The price of grade 1 yellowstripe scad is 180,000 VND/kg, fresh mackerel 230,000 VND/kg, grilled mackerel 250,000 - 260,000 VND/kg, hairtail 150,000 VND/kg, mantis shrimp 400,000 VND/kg, scallop 650,000 - 700,000 VND/kg, dried squid depending on the type ranges from 700,000 - 1.6 million VND/kg... This price is higher than usual by about 20,000 - 40,000 VND depending on the type.

Currently, the Commune People's Committee has directed the establishment of a seafood trading group and increased propaganda to ensure food safety and hygiene to serve the Tet market.
In addition to seafood products, these days, fish sauce and shrimp paste production facilities in the district are also bustling during the Tet season. Starting from December 2021, fish sauce production facilities in An Hoa, Quynh Tho, Son Hai, Quynh Ngoc, Tien Thuy communes... have urgently made Tet products.
