(Baonghean.vn) - After information that passengers returning from Japan were taken to the quarantine area, those who got off the bus earlier voluntarily came to report.

On the morning of March 13, speaking to reporters of Nghe An Newspaper, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that medical staff were still measuring body temperature and checking the health of many people at the centralized quarantine area in Vinh City. These were people on the passenger bus that Nghe An authorities took to quarantine at midnight.

According to Mr. Chinh, after Nghe An Newspaper published this incident, 9 passengers who got off the bus earlier voluntarily went to the centralized quarantine area to report and have their health checked. After the examination, if there are no unusual symptoms, the Department of Health will send a document to the Provincial Military Command to allow these people to go home.

Meanwhile, the man in the car with symptoms of Covid-19, Mr. HVH (37 years old), was transferred to the Tropical Disease Center (Nghe An General Hospital) for continued monitoring.

Mr. H. is a laborer working in Japan. At the place he stayed in Japan, within a radius of only 1km, there were 5 people infected. Mr. H. lived with 3 other people, and all 3 had coughs, sore throats, difficulty breathing, and chest pain. Fearing that he would be infected, he bought a plane ticket to return home.

After arriving at Noi Bai airport on the afternoon of March 11, Mr. H. made a medical declaration and proactively requested to be quarantined but was refused. He then took a bus back to his hometown in Nghe An. Upon receiving the news, Nghe An authorities set up a checkpoint at midnight to bring the bus into the quarantine area and take samples for testing from Mr. H. However, at this time, 9 people on the bus had already gotten off along the way. Currently, Mr. H.'s first test result is negative for Covid-19.
