Provincial People's Council supervises the environment at the cassava starch processing factory in Anh Son

Hoa Son Agricultural Processing Company Limited has an investment capital of 224 billion VND with a processing capacity of 150 tons of starch/day. The total number of employees of the company is 158 people working in 2 production workshops and 4 functional departments. The average salary for employees is 5.5 million VND/month.

The factory has 1 Party cell with 8 members and 1 trade union with 158 members.

The company registered 145/158 employees for social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, accounting for 92%. In 2018, the cost of paying for the above three types of insurance as of September was 1.2 billion VND and the company has paid until the end of August.

According to the company's leaders, of the 13 workers who have not participated in insurance, 1 is retired, 1 security guard pays insurance outside, and the rest are seasonal probationary workers.

At the meeting, the representative of the Provincial Social Insurance participating in the monitoring team said that up to this point in 2018, the company is 310 million VND behind in paying 3 types of insurance and requested to complete it soon. Accepting the opinions of the monitoring team, the company's leaders said they will fix the problem of outstanding insurance payments.

Regarding environmental protection, the company has submitted an environmental impact assessment report and it has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has also issued a certificate of completion of environmental protection works. The monitoring team's opinions acknowledged that the company has focused on investing systematically in environmental protection and requested that it continue to ensure compliance with standards prescribed by the State.
