Route N5 is used to transport cement and clinker from Song Lam Cement Factory (Do Luong) to Nghi Thiet Port, passing through Nghi Loc and Do Luong districts with a length of nearly 30 km, and is now a route for many local people along National Highway 7.
On this route, the dense system of roads to the fields rises up to a meter above the fields to serve people going to the fields, posing many potential traffic safety risks.
In addition, the road to the fields makes the fields fragmented and difficult to mechanize, affecting water drainage.
Talking to the representative of the Department of Transport, Mr. Nguyen Huu An, Deputy Director of the Department said: Due to historical reasons, when building the road, according to the request of the people, the contractor had to raise the field road to make it easier for people to go to the fields. During the construction process, drainage culverts were also installed.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Do Luong district, said that the district will inspect and hopes that in the near future the province will have funds to build roads for people, limiting roads to the fields to ensure safety for people as well as facilitate production.
