Vuc Mau Lake continues to spill over to respond to tropical depression

PresentVuc Mau Lakein Quynh Trang commune (Hoang Mai town) has a water level of 20.51 m. According to the forecast, the weather in the coming days will be rainy, so due to the influence of tropical depression, Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise will conduct spillway discharge.
The operator opened the spillway at 12 noon on October 5. The spillway discharge at 12 noon on October 5 reached 280 m3/s from both spillways. At 5:25 p.m. on the same day, the spillway discharge reached 138 m3/s. Then, at 5 a.m. on October 6, the spillway was lowered and the water level dropped to 15 m3/s.
Mr. Pham Hong Phu - Deputy Director of Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise said: During the spillway discharge process, depending on the weather conditions and the amount of water coming to Vuc Mau Lake, the enterprise will operate the spillways according to the approved process.
To ensure the safety of the reservoir during the rainy season, at Vuc Mau reservoir, there are always officers and employees on duty 24/7 to operate, monitor rainfall and water levels, and check the current status of the project.
During the spillway discharge operation process, Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise notified 15 wards and communes in Hoang Mai town and Quynh Luu district by written document, email, and Zalo one day in advance.
