Activities to support the poor and victims of Agent Orange
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 9, organizations started building charity houses and gave support money to poor families in Tan Ky and Nghia Dan.

Huy, the son of Nguyen Thi Lan, is a poor household in the commune, a Tho ethnic group, orphaned by his father since childhood, his mother is sick all year round, the two of them live in a dilapidated temporary house without the conditions to upgrade or repair. With the support of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, Tan Ky District Youth Union Standing Committee, local Party Committee and authorities, the house for Huy and his mother has started construction, with an estimated value of more than 80 million VND, of which the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee supports 40 million VND, the rest is contributed by family and relatives.

In Thai Hoa town, there are currently 200 victims of Agent Orange. Half of them are people who contributed to the resistance war and the other half are their children and grandchildren who were exposed.
Every year, in order to contribute to easing the pain and sharing with the families of the victims, the Party Committee, authorities at all levels and directly the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Thai Hoa townThere have been many meaningful activities such as: visiting, giving gifts on holidays, supporting house construction and repair, supporting livelihoods to share difficulties, helping them to improve their lives...
On this occasion, the Thai Hoa Town Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims presented 25 gifts and the Town Red Cross presented 10 gifts to Agent Orange victims in especially difficult circumstances in the area; each gift is worth 500,000 VND.

This time, 2 poor households were given money to buy breeding animals, including Mr. Tran Ngoc That's family in hamlet 10 and Mr. Pham Van Thu's family in hamlet 6. In addition to supporting breeding animals, the commune's Fatherland Front coordinated with agricultural extension to organize instructions on how to care for and prevent diseases for the families.
Previously, the Commune Fatherland Front organized a donation of 5 million VND to support the construction of a house for Mr. Tran Quang Trung's family in Hamlet 2, Nghia Hung Commune; 2 million VND to Mr. Phan Van Minh's family and a bicycle for Pham Tran Tuan Hai, a 6th grade student at Hung Thinh Secondary School.
