Nghe An students won second prize in the national final of the playground "Vietnamese Children - Reaching out to the world"

(Baonghean.vn) - At the National Finals of the 2023 "Vietnamese Children - Reaching Out to the World" playground organized by the Central Council of Young Pioneers, the team from Hung Tien Primary School, Nam Dan district, excellently won the second prize.

The Nghe An team consists of 3 students from Hung Tien Primary School, Nam Dan District: Ho Bao Ngoc, Vo Gia Nguyen, Tran Thi Hong Ngoc. All 3 students are in class 5D of the school.

Previously, this team from Hung Tien Primary School, Nam Dan district won first prize in the North Central region held in Vinh city.

Playground "Vietnamese Children - Reaching out to the world"was launched by the Central Council of the Young Pioneers to strengthen the connection between the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization and families, schools and society to join hands to support and create an environment for children to compete in studying, developing their abilities, self-improving, and improving their English skills through learning, living and entertainment activities.

The final round of the playground "Vietnamese Children - Reaching out to the world" took place on May 31 and June 1 in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 13 teams from many provinces and cities across the country.

13 teams participated in the final round of the playground, including 9 teams that won the first prize in the regional semi-finals, 3 teams with the highest second prizes and 1 team with the most impressive performance. Each team has 3 members, unchanged from the semi-finals.

In the final round, the teams competed by displaying handicrafts, cuisine, traditional costumes, models of historical relics, architectural works, scenic spots, typical cultural products, and images introducing the friendly and solidarity relationship between Vietnam and countries according to the results of the draw.

At the end of the competition at the exhibition booths, the judges selected the 6 teams with the highest scores to enter the final ranking round. Among them was the team from Nghe An.

In the final ranking round, each team will present and introduce their products related to the culture of the country that was drawn. Immediately after that, the teams will have to answer questions from the judges to clarify their presentation ideas. The entire presentation and question-answering round will have to be done in English.

The excitement increased as the judges asked questions to each member of each team. Teams were allowed to use pictures, photos, charts, models and performers to support their illustrations.

In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize worth 10 million VND; 5 Second Prizes, each worth 5 million VND; 7 Third Prizes, each worth 3 million VND. All prizes were accompanied by a Certificate of Merit from the Central Council of Young Pioneers, a certificate and many valuable gifts.
