Vietnam Women's Union and Nghe An Provincial Women's Union mobilized and supported flood relief with over 1 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to create resources to share difficulties with the people of Nghe An province who suffered damage caused by storm No. 4, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union mobilized organizations, businesses and union officials to contribute a total of more than 1 billion VND.

On the morning of October 14, a working delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union led by Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union visited the people of the mountainous district of Ky Son to visit, encourage and give gifts to the families of affected female cadres and members.
Joining the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, President of the Provincial Women's Union.
The Central and provincial working delegations directly visited, encouraged, shared difficulties and gave cash and in-kind support to 23 families of cadres and women's union members affected by the flash flood that occurred in the early morning of October 2.
Of which, the Central delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union gave support to 22 households, each household 5 - 10 million VND along with gifts.

The Provincial Women's Union awarded 60 million VND in support to two union officials whose houses were swept away or completely collapsed due to flash floods, including Ms. Lam Thi Hong - President of the Women's Union of Ta Ca commune and Ms. Vu Mai Lia - Member of the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of Ky Son district.
On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union also donated 50 million VND to the Ky Son District Relief Committee and 10 million VND to the Ky Son District Women's Union to help overcome the consequences of the flood. The total support from the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union to Ky Son is worth 120 million VND from the contributions mobilized from union officials at all levels in the province.

In addition to visiting, encouraging, and giving gifts directly to 22 families of officials and members affected by floods in Ky Son district, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, through mobilizing support from organizations and businesses, has also supported Nghe An with a total value of nearly 1 billion VND, including cash and gifts.
