Press conference September 2023

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association informed about the 10th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association, term 2023-2028, scheduled to be held on September 26 and 27 at Vinh Giao Te Hotel.

With the theme "Strongly innovating the content and methods of operation; building a strong Association; promoting the role of farmers in developing agriculture, rural economy, building new rural areas, contributing to Nghe An's rapid and sustainable development", this is an important event for the association and cadres and members of farmers in the whole province.

The Congress has the task of summarizing and evaluating the results of the Association's work and the farmers' movement for the 2018-2023 term; determining the direction, goals and tasks for the 2023-2028 term; electing the Executive Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association, term X, term 2023-2028; electing the Delegation to attend the Vietnam Farmers' Association Congress; voting on the Resolution of the Congress. At the Congress, there will be an exhibition of OCOP products and typical agricultural products of farmers' association members from 21 districts, cities and towns.

Reporting on press work in August 2023, comrade Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications said: In the past month, press agencies have strictly followed the direction and propaganda orientation of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the state management of the Department of Information and Communications. Press agencies have reported and promoted the socio-economic directions and management of the provincial leaders; focusing on the following contents: stabilizing the macro-economy, controlling inflation, promoting growth, accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, key projects, implementing the contents of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

In addition, a number of press agencies have assessed Nghe An's economic picture in the first 8 months of 2023, thereby analyzing, evaluating, commenting, and identifying challenges for Nghe An's socio-economic development in the last months of the year to achieve the set goals and scenarios.

In August, the press agencies also had many news and articles reporting on landslides, the risk of losing production land, and the lack of safety for people in landslide areas; propaganda, warnings, and raising people's awareness to reduce damage when the rainy and stormy season is happening. Some issues such as difficulties in raw material sources for traditional craft villages; planning of raw material areas for OCOP products; difficulties in production and business of enterprises; problems in granting certificates of forest land use rights; shortage of human resources in high-tech agriculture... were also reported and reflected by the press agencies.

Regarding the propaganda orientation in September 2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested press agencies to continue to promote propaganda on the organization and implementation of resolutions, directives, regulations and guidelines of the Central and the province. In particular, press agencies need to pay special attention to and promote information and propaganda about the Conference to disseminate and implement Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045. The conference is expected to be held on September 16 in Vinh city, in a combination of live and online formats.

In addition, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also requested press agencies to strengthen propaganda on Party building and political system building; continue to promote movements, models and typical examples of good implementation of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; promote positive and clear results in investment attraction, culture - society; services - tourism; administrative reform; promote cultural heritages, scenic spots, and culinary culture of Nghe An to attract domestic and international tourists...

In September, there are also many major events and holidays that need to be strongly promoted, such as: The 121st anniversary of the birth of comrade Le Hong Phong (September 6, 1902 - September 6, 2023); International Day for the Eradication of Illiteracy (September 8); The 93rd anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet (September 12, 1930 - September 12, 2023); The 68th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (September 10, 1955 - September 10, 2023); The 78th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam Customs sector (September 10); The traditional day of the Communications Corps (September 9); The 113th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (September 30, 1910 - September 30, 2022); The 10th Congress of the Farmers' Association of Nghe An province, term 2023 - 2028; 235 years of Phuong Hoang Trung Do; 60 years of Vinh city establishment and 15 years of Vinh city being a class I urban area under Nghe An province.
