Vietnam Journalists Association offers flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs and give gifts to families of policy beneficiaries
On the morning of July 17, towards the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), the delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association came to offer flowers and incense to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at the Nghi Loc District Martyrs Cemetery and gave gifts to policy families in Nghi Loc District.
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Vietnam Journalists Association, there were comrades: Nguyen Duc Loi - former member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, leaders of units under the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Colonel Pham Dinh Trung - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; Ngo Duc Kien - Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper and representatives of relevant departments and branches.
On Nghi Loc district side, there were comrade Duong Dinh Chinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Nghi Loc District Party Committee and comrades in the Standing Committee of Nghi Loc District Party Committee.

Nghi Loc District Martyrs Cemetery is located in Hamlet 4, Nghi Thinh Commune. This is the resting place of 1,624 martyrs, including 756 martyrs who were Vietnamese volunteers and experts - the nation's outstanding sons, who fought bravely and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the noble international duty in Laos.

Attending the incense offering and flower offering ceremony to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Nghi Loc District Martyrs Cemetery, leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association and delegates respectfully bowed to offer fresh flowers and incense to the souls of the heroic martyrs to express their infinite gratitude.


The delegates pledged to continue promoting the nation's traditions, strive to study and follow the example and morality of Ho Chi Minh and the brave fighting spirit of the heroic martyrs, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association presented 7 gratitude houses to 5 poor households in difficult circumstances and 2 policy families; presented 15 gifts, each worth 1,000,000 VND to poor but studious students in Nghi Loc district.

These are meaningful gifts ofProgram "Light the flame of gratitude"Organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association and sponsors, to express gratitude, share, and encourage families of people with revolutionary contributions, families in difficult circumstances, and poor but studious students in Nghi Loc district.


With the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source, when eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree", from 2023, the Vietnam Journalists Association initiatedProgram "Lighting the Flame of Gratitude"with the first practical gratitude and support activities in Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces.


In 2024, towards the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the Vietnam Journalists Association continues to organizeSocial activity program "Lighting the flame of gratitude - 2024"from July 16-18, 2024 in Nghe An province with a series of gratitude and charity activities in Nghi Loc district, Anh Son district and Vinh city.
