The Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command organizes Children's Day for orphans and disabled children
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, on May 31, the Women's Union of Nghe An Provincial Military Command organized a celebration of Children's Day and a "Nutrition Meal" activity for children at Mother Teresa Calaita Orphan and Disabled Children Center at Tan Huong Parish, Bo Son Parish, Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An.
Mother Teresa Calaita Center for Orphaned and Disabled Children located in Tan Huong parish, Bo Son parish is currently raising and caring for more than 40 orphaned and disabled children of Catholic and non-Catholic people of different ages and circumstances in and outside the province.

Organizing Children's Day, the Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command gave new books, candies, fruits, and organized a Children's Day party for the children in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Also within the framework of the program, the Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command cooked nutritious meals for orphans and disabled children. This is an annual activity of the Women's Union of the Provincial Armed Forces.
From April 2017 to now, the Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command has ensured 25 meals for the children at the center with a total amount of more than 13 million VND. Every month, the Women's Union Executive Committee donates 10,000 VND to each comrade and mobilizes agencies and units to support to create a source of funding to ensure 2 meals/month for the children at the center.
In addition, on holidays, the Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command organized donations of books, warm clothes, school uniforms, and toys for the children at the center, contributing to sharing the hardships of the nuns working at the center, and promptly encouraging and compensating the children who are suffering misfortune and loss in life./.
