Hanoi and Nghe An Women's Unions give gifts in Ky Son district

This is an activity implemented by the Women's Union of Nghe An province in conjunction with the Women's Union of Hanoi city to implement the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" in 2023.

The working delegation of the Hanoi Women's Union was led by Comrade Le Kim Anh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, President of the Hanoi Women's Union.

On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, President of the Provincial Women's Union and leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command.

Specifically, in Nam Can commune (Ky Son district), the Hanoi Women's Union has provided support for 5 livelihood models "Raising reproductive cows" to 5 poor women; each model is 10 million VND.

At the same time, the Hanoi Women's Union also presented 20 gifts to women in difficult circumstances; presented 20 gifts, books, and school supplies to 20 disadvantaged students.

In addition to the gift-giving activities, the working delegation of the Women's Union of Hanoi City and Nghe An Province also visited, encouraged and gave gifts to poor members of Nam Can commune who were supported by the Women's Union of Hanoi to build a "Warm House of Love".

In Na Loi commune, the Hanoi Women's Union organized a fund-raising ceremony to build a "Shelter of Love" for poor female members, worth 50 million VND.Dong; awarded 100 million Dong to support the People's Committee of Na Loi commune to drill wells and build a domestic water tank.

Along with that, the Hanoi Women's Union also directly visited, encouraged, and presented 20 gifts; 200 traditional ao dai to women in difficult circumstances. The total funding from the Hanoi Women's Union in the two communes of Nam Can and Na Loi is nearly 500 million VND.

Also in this May, through the connection of the Women's Union of Nghe An province, the Women's Union of Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh districts also mobilized resources from cadres, women's union members and other resources to present 300 ao dai sets, masks and other items to women in Nam Can commune (Ky Son district).

The Women's Unions of the two districts also presented 20 bicycles to poor students who have overcome difficulties; 40 gifts to primary school students and 40 gifts to women in difficult circumstances; and coordinated to provide free health check-ups and present 300 gifts to cadres, women's union members and children in difficult circumstances.

Along with gifts from the Hanoi Women's Union, on this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union also presented 20 gifts to women in difficult circumstances in Nam Can and Na Loi communes (Ky Son district).
