On the afternoon of September 13, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a scientific workshop to determine the traditional day.Nghe An General Friendship Hospital.
The workshop was attended by scientists and medical staff in the province. Comrades Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the workshop.

Nghe An General Friendship HospitalThe predecessor was Vinh Hospital, established around the end of the 19th century, the beginning of the 20th century. It went through many stages with different names such as: Ho Chi Minh Hospital, Nghe Tinh I Hospital, Vietnam - Poland Friendship Hospital... In 1997, the hospital was renamed Nghe An General Friendship Hospital. Since then, the hospital has continuously developed in both scale and quality, and has been recognized by the Ministry of Health as meeting the standards of a Grade I hospital.

Concluding the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long affirmed: Determining the traditional day of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital not only has scientific and practical value and significance for the hospital and the Nghe An health sector, but also meets the aspirations of many generations of leaders, staff and workers of the hospital. Based on the documents and research works presented at the workshop, the Organizing Committee of the workshop unanimously chose September 18, 1918 as the traditional day of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital./.
