In response to the question of whether a candidate with 20.95 and 22.2 points will be admitted to the teacher training program, Mr. Hung said that the scores of 20.95 and 22.2 are quite high compared to the average level this year. However, determining admission depends on the candidate's adjustment of wishes, and how the candidate's real score determines the school.

According to the University and College Admission Regulations for Teacher Training Majors, for teacher training majors at university level, high school graduates with grade 12 academic performance ranked excellent or higher will be considered for admission. For college and intermediate level, high school graduates with grade 12 academic performance ranked fair or higher will be considered for admission.

Based on the results of the national high school exam, the Ministry of Education and Training will determine the threshold to ensure input quality so that schools can develop admission plans.

In 2018, the Ministry of Education and Training officially removed the minimum score for admission to universities in general. However, for universities, colleges of education and teacher training majors, from 2018, the Ministry of Education and Training will set a separate minimum score for this group of schools.

The above regulation was issued in the context that in recent years, the admission scores for teacher training colleges have tended to decrease.
