More than 140 billion VND registered to support 'Tet For The Poor - Spring Giap Thin 2024'
(Baonghean.vn) - As of 5:00 p.m. on January 21, collectives and individuals across Nghe An province had registered to donate over 140 billion VND to the program "Tet for the Poor - Spring of Giap Thin 2024".
Responding to the Letter of the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee calling for support and help for the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2024, many organizations and individuals joined hands with the Provincial Party Committee and government to support and help poor and near-poor households to have a warm and happy Tet.
According to data updated by the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, as of 5:00 p.m. on January 21, 203 organizations, individuals, and businesses registered to support "Tet for the Poor - Spring of Giap Thin 2024", with a total amount of over 140 billion VND (of which, cash support was over 138 billion VND, goods value was nearly 2 billion VND).
With this support amount, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will urgently direct districts, towns and cities to review and select to implement giving Tet gifts to policy families and poor households in a timely and sufficient manner, so that all people can enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet in a joyful and warm atmosphere.
