More than 250 Lao and Thai workers were brought to Dien Chau centralized quarantine area.

On the afternoon of March 26, Dien Chau district welcomed 154 citizens back to the district's quarantine area at facility 2 of the Dien Chau District Continuing Education and Vocational Training Center. Previously, on March 25, the center also welcomed the first 101 citizens back. Up to now, through surveys, more than 99% of the cases returned from the Lao People's Democratic Republic, of which 45 were children traveling with their parents. Of the total 255 people quarantined here, there were 155 men, 100 women (6 of whom were pregnant); the majority were from Yen Thanh district: 147 people, Dien Chau: 71 people, Vinh 04 people...

To receive and organize the quarantine, Dien Chau district mobilized all forces, authorities and people to join in. Notably, in just 4 days, the district has fully prepared the facilities to serve in the quarantine area with 250 accommodations and all necessities. The number of beds equipped for the quarantine area was mobilized from Hoan Chau College and medical stations located in the area. In recent days, a number of businesses have also joined hands to support supplies and equipment for the quarantine area.

Mr. Tang Van Luyen - Chairman of Dien Chau District People's Committee said: According to the plan, Dien Chau district will welcome 240 Vietnamese citizens returning from abroad and currently the number of citizens returning has exceeded the expected number. Although the preparation work is urgent and facing many difficulties, the district has actively and proactively prepared forces, means, and facilities, taking the armed forces and medical staff as the core and implementing the "4 on-site" motto.

During the quarantine period, there will be 50 doctors, medical staff, military and police forces on duty at the quarantine area. In addition, the district has also mobilized youth unions and militia to support the outside area to respond when necessary. All returning citizens will be quarantined for 14 days according to regulations of the Ministry of Health.

In addition to quarantine at centralized areas, in recent times, dozens of citizens in Dien Chau district have voluntarily quarantined themselves at commune health stations. So far, no unusual cases have been detected and the citizens' health is currently stable.
