More than 600 cameras in Vinh City will officially go into operation from January 22.
After a period of testing, the security, order and traffic safety surveillance camera system of Nghe An Provincial Police (installed at 191 locations in Vinh city) has met the conditions for operation and put into operation and use according to the provisions of law.
Nghe An Provincial Police announced that the official time to operate and exploit the system will start from January 22, 2025.
A system of more than 600 cameras is installed at 191 target points in Vinh city. In particular, it is concentrated at traffic intersections such as: roundabouts, intersections, main inner-city roads, key traffic routes and important targets...

All camera systems and software and data management systems are integrated, using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, intelligent search recognition, in line with the 4.0 technology trend. Among them, there are some important features and effects of the system such as: tracking objects; setting up integrated support for target protection plans, leading groups and other security and order assurance plans; control range according to license plate, vehicle characteristics...

In particular, the camera system not only supports traffic regulation by counting traffic volume and vehicle speed to assess congestion, but also has the ability to detect traffic safety violations. Specifically, violations such as: not obeying traffic lights; driving and changing lanes in the wrong direction; speeding, motorbikes carrying too many people, not wearing helmets, etc.

All cameras will be transmitted via fiber optic cable directly from the points to 3 centers, including: Provincial Police Command Center, Vinh City Police Monitoring Center, PC08 Monitoring Center for processing, ensuring data security and integrity.
