More than 700 members participated in cleaning up trash at Dien Thanh beach
(Baonghean.vn) - After people and the media reported on the garbage flooding Dien Chau beaches, Dien Chau District Youth Union organized garbage collection at Dien Thanh beach, the largest beach in the district.
On the morning of June 21, more than 700 union members and youth from 39 communes and towns of Dien Chau district gathered at Dien Thanh beach to collect trash. Despite the hot weather, the union members participated in the collection with high determination.
Dien Thanh Beach is a famous tourist destination in Dien Chau district. However, in recent times, this beach has had to "live with" garbage. The reason is that when the river opens, water hyacinth and garbage are dumped into the sea, in addition to the low awareness of the locals and tourists when they carelessly litter this beach.

After collection, the garbage is gathered at the designated place for proper treatment. It is known that this is the 5th garbage collection since the beginning of 2019 on this 1.2 km long beach.

This is an important activity to help Dien Thanh beach become cleaner and fresher. In the near future, we will assign grassroots union members to continue collecting trash at other beaches.
Along with that, Dien Chau District Youth Union will continue to have propaganda activities for tourists and business people about environmental protection awareness at the beaches.
