Border protection training for officers of Bolykhamxay Provincial Military Command - Laos
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 16 in Vinh City, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An Province held the opening ceremony of a border protection training course for 30 trainees who are officers of the Military Command of Bolykhamxay Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Major General Le Van Thao - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Border Guard; Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the ceremony. Also attending were leaders of the Bolykhamxay Provincial Military Command, the Xieng Khouang Provincial Military Command (Laos) and leaders of the Nghe An Border Guard Command.

During the 45-day period, the trainees will study the history of the special friendship and traditional relations between Vietnam and Laos, Nghe An and Bolykhamxay; foreign affairs, border management, border patrol, administrative control; border gate operations, search tactics, ambush tactics, raid tactics, border protection observation and international law.
In addition, students also participate in extracurricular activities such as visiting some historical sites and scenic spots in Nghe An province.
From 2007 to present, Nghe An Border Guard has successfully organized 4 training courses for over 120 border protection officers of Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang and Bolykhamxay provinces of Laos.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Major General Le Van Thao - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Border Guard noted: Relevant agencies under the Border Guard General Staff need to guide and help Nghe An Border Guard to complete the training course; Nghe An Border Guard must do a good job of ensuring the training course, teachers must prepare thoughtful, concise, easy-to-understand lectures to fully convey the content to the trainees through interpretation.
This is a practical activity, demonstrating the special solidarity between Nghe An province and Bolykhamxay province in particular and the provinces sharing the border in general, working together to protect border sovereignty, build a peaceful, friendly border, and close cooperation and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
