The official dispatch of the Hanoi People's Committee stated: "The Hanoi People's Committee agrees with the content proposed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and reported to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Official Dispatch No. 66/BVHTTDL-TCTDTT dated January 10, 2022".

The proposal to allow 50% of the audience to enter the stadium to cheer on the Vietnamese team when they play against the Chinese team was approved, meaning that coach Park Hang Seo and his team will be allowed a maximum of 20,000 fans to enter the stadium to "fuel the fire".

Vietnam women's team has 9 COVID-19 cases
