(Baonghean.vn) - On March 26, the Quynh Luu District Military Command coordinated with the Provincial Military Command's Engineering Department to successfully detonate a bomb left over from the war.
Previously, at 2:00 p.m. on March 23, Van Son Stone Mining Company in Quynh Van Commune, Quynh Luu District, while quarrying stone, discovered a bomb left over from the war with an intact detonator in Hamlet 11, Quynh Van Commune, Quynh Luu District.
After discoverybomb, the unit reported to local authorities and the Military Command of Quynh Luu district.

After receiving the information, the Quynh Luu District Military Command promptly dispatched a working group to the scene. Upon identification, the bomb was the second largest demolition bomb discovered in the area, measuring 41cm in diameter and 1.2m in length, dropped by the US.
