Hung Nguyen district propagates the arrangement of commune-level administrative units
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 22, Hung Nguyen district organized a propaganda conference on the topic "Implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, period 2023 - 2025" in 4 communes subject to merger: Hung Tan, Hung Thong, Hung Thinh and Hung My.

Accordingly, at the communes, the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Internal Affairs of the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district directly disseminated to the entire Party Executive Committee and the political system of the communes, villages and hamlets in the 4 localities subject to the arrangement about the documents of the Central Government and the province related to the arrangement of administrative units.
The focus is on Resolution No. 37, dated December 24, 2018 and Conclusion No. 48, dated January 30, 2023 of the Politburo; Resolution No. 35, dated July 12, 2023 of the National Assembly Standing Committee; Resolution No. 117, dated July 30, 2023 of the Government; plan to rearrange administrative units of Hung Nguyen province and district.

Disseminate the process, progress, and timeline of the work to implement the arrangement of administrative units; at the same time, guide the process and methods of organizing the collection of voters' opinions on the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units in Hung Nguyen district for the period 2023 - 2025.

In particular, special attention is paid to reviewing and making accurate voter lists in localities. Because the rate of consensus on the plan to rearrange administrative units must ensure that over 50% of the total number of voters on the list are included in order to proceed with the next steps in the rearrangement process.

Along with that, the district also requires the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front and local organizations to continue to propagate, mobilize, create consensus and high unity among cadres, party members and people on implementing the policy of rearranging administrative units.
At the conference, Hung Nguyen district also answered each concern raised from the grassroots level, related to the settlement of debts in local basic construction investment after the merger to become a new administrative unit; the settlement of administrative procedures for people, especially changing information on the Land Use Rights Certificate, creating conditions for people to borrow capital for economic development; the arrangement and settlement of redundant cadres and civil servants after the rearrangement...

Previously, this propaganda activity was also organized by the District Steering Committee in Hung Phuc and Hung Loi communes.
Based on the study of the Central documents, Hung Nguyen district has conducted a review and has 6 units subject to the arrangement in the period 2023 - 2025. Including 4 communes (Hung Tan, Hung My, Hung Phuc, Hung Loi) with natural area and population size reaching less than 70% of the prescribed standards and 2 communes (Hung Thinh and Hung Thong) with natural area standards below 20% and population size below 300% of the prescribed standards.

According to the arrangement plan developed by Hung Nguyen district, 6 communes will be merged into 3 communes. Specifically, Hung Tan and Hung Thong communes will be merged, and the new commune after the merger is expected to be named Thong Tan; Hung Thinh and Hung My communes will be merged into Thinh My commune; Hung Phuc and Hung Loi will be merged into Phuc Loi. After the merger, Hung Nguyen district will be reduced from 18 commune-level administrative units to 15 units (including 1 town and 14 communes); 3 commune-level administrative units will be reduced.
