Xam Tay district, Hua Phan, Laos wishes Que Phong district a happy new year
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 29, a delegation from Xam Tay district, Hua Phan province, Lao PDR, led by Mr. Thong Vang - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District Government Committee, visited and extended New Year greetings to the leaders and people of Que Phong district on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2019.

Que Phong is a mountainous border district, with over 74,793 km of border adjacent to Xam Tay and Muong Quan districts, Hua Phan province, Laos.
In recent years, the districts have held regular rotating meetings to exchange information, strengthen economic development cooperation, and mobilize ethnic groups on both sides to continue building a peaceful and friendly border.
The two sides also held a twinning ceremony between border villages such as: Muong Phu, Thong Thu commune, Nam Tay village, Vieng Phan cluster, Sam To district, Huoi Moi village, Tri Le commune, and Den Din village - Phan Thong cluster, Muong Quan district.
The two sides also regularly organize bilateral patrols to ensure border defense; create conditions for people from both sides to visit relatives as well as live and work with peace of mind.
At the meeting, the leaders of the two districts briefly informed about the socio-economic development results in 2018 and expressed their determination to continue to maintain and further develop the close cooperative relationship between the two districts to contribute to building a peaceful and friendly Vietnam - Laos relationship that is "forever green, forever sustainable".
