IS and Al-Queda merge into a new terrorist network?
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 4, at the International Security Conference in Moscow, head of the Russian Federal Security Service Aleksander Bortnikov said he did not rule out the possibility that two terrorist organizations, the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) and Al-Qaeda, would merge to form a new terrorist network.

In that case, the new network would have active or “inactive” branches in many countries, Mr. Bortnikov warned, emphasizing that these branches have experience in conducting sabotage actions and operating in various conditions, equipped with technology and infrastructure to manufacture real chemical weapons, not just threatening weapons.
According to Mr. Bortnikov, the new network has experience in carrying out “cheap” terrorist acts but with very serious consequences.
Mr. Bortnikov also warned about the reality of "exporting" individual jihadists to European Union (EU) member countries and Russia./.
