According to Unicef, during the recent activities of the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) in Ninh Thuan province, as a goodwill ambassador of Unicef, singer Katy Perry shared that it was a trip that brought her many emotions and impressions.
Katy said: “It was very moving when I met a grandmother who had to raise four grandchildren after her daughter died. The family lived along a bumpy road in a remote mountain village, one of her grandchildren was a five-year-old girl named Linh.
This baby was severely malnourished. If a Unicef worker had not come and helped take care of her, Linh would not have survived today.
And the singer added: “Linh is just one of millions of children who face such difficulties every day. It is something that perhaps we should all think about.”
Singer Katy's visit to Ninh Thuan aims to draw the world community's attention to serious issues affecting the lives of millions of children who are not enjoying equal rights like other children in the world.
Many children in Ninh Thuan confided to Katy that they did not want to fall into poverty like their parents. They dreamed of becoming doctors or teachers to escape the vicious cycle of poverty.

“Every child I meet has a dream. We have to help them achieve it,” Katy said. “Investing in the most disadvantaged children to give them a fair chance in life is not only the right thing to do, it is the best way to break the cycle of poverty and dramatically improve their education, health and happiness.”
