University Fair - The path to realizing your dreams at TH School
On March 23rd, TH School Vinh successfully organized the University Fair (University and Career Orientation Day). The University Fair attracted a large number of students, parents, and representatives from many prestigious universities both domestically and internationally.
Expand opportunities, explore potential fields of study.
For Hoang Duc, a 10th-grade student in class 10T4 at Huynh Thuc Khang High School, the dream of studying abroad is largely motivated by his respected and admired English teacher. In 5th grade, after a three-month online course with a foreign teacher, Duc's previously weak English skills improved remarkably – according to his friends and teachers. Enthusiastic and passionate about a subject he had previously struggled with, from 8th grade onwards, this intelligent and quick-witted student asked his former teacher for permission to participate in free, charitable English classes for those who wanted to learn and improve their English. This was also a preparation for Duc's future studies abroad, because not only did he improve his own English skills, but he also learned communication skills and gained valuable experience from his teacher and even from those he taught English to.

When taking the entrance exam for high school, Duc passed both prestigious schools: Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School and Vinh University Specialized High School, as well as a school in Italy. However, he ultimately chose to attend Huynh Thuc Khang High School, where his mother is a teacher. "Since middle school, I've decided to study abroad, so I don't care about attending a specialized school because for universities overseas, it doesn't matter which school a student attended," Duc shared.

With a bright and intelligent face, Duc impressed those he met with his clever, confident, and mature way of speaking. “I’m still undecided between many options, but after receiving advice, I decided that if I want to major in Innovative Teaching to become a lecturer, I will go to Harvard University, and if I want to major in Psychology, I will choose RMIT University.” However, before making a final decision, instead of focusing solely on these two schools, Duc researched many other universities to prepare his application. He said: “I think I haven’t fully utilized my potential in my studies yet. Through research and advice from teachers and experts, I found that most universities have similar requirements and conditions in terms of both academic ability and family financial capacity. Therefore, I will apply to many universities, giving me more choices and a better understanding of my own abilities.” "I'm trying to get a 100% scholarship or at least 90%, instead of putting the entire burden on my parents."

Organized by TH School Vinh on the afternoon of March 23rd, the University Fair (University and Career Guidance Day) aimed to support 12th-grade students in Nghe An province in confidently preparing for their upcoming university journey. Representatives from 33 prestigious universities in Vietnam and around the world, such as RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology, VinUni University, University of Queensland, James Cook University, National Economics University, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, British University Vietnam (BUV), etc., directly provided admissions information, including detailed introductions to the schools, training programs, application requirements, tuition fees, policies, scholarship criteria, and answered related questions from students and parents. Students also had the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with educational advisors to broaden their learning opportunities, receive career guidance suitable to their abilities and interests, and explore promising fields of study that are highly regarded in the future.

Having attended TH School since 11th grade, Hoang Tuan Tu, a 12th-grade student at TH School Vinh, has received guidance and advice from his teachers regarding his study abroad plans. “I had a main plan: to study for a Bachelor of Biology at the University of Sydney, and a secondary plan: to study for a Bachelor of Nursing. I had the intention to study abroad for a while, but the decision to choose a Bachelor of Biology came from the strong inspiration and professionalism of my Biology teacher, Le Thi Ngoc Uyen,” shared Hoang Tuan Tu. Participating in the event gave Tu a clearer understanding of what he needs to prepare to achieve his dream.

At the event, parents and high school students (grades 7-11) also received early career guidance from education experts, learned about admission information, built study plans, and sought scholarships from prestigious universities. Not only did they gain access to detailed information about training programs from renowned universities, but they also participated in direct consultations with experts, helping them better understand their interests, abilities, and career choices.
Nowadays, parents and students have access to a vast amount of information about studying abroad. However, amidst this "forest" of information and so many choices, parents and students desperately need career guidance to make informed decisions.

The event also provided an opportunity for students wishing to pursue an international learning environment to learn about TH School Vinh and its scholarship policy of up to 70%, aimed at encouraging young talents to achieve success in their academic journey.

To help students choose a career path that suits them and aligns with societal trends, TH School Vinh organized many engaging activities at the event, such as tours of the school's modern facilities, meetings with the school's management, and participation in personality tests to discover individual potential. Parents also had the opportunity to learn about the learning pathway at TH School, which combines the Cambridge International program with the Vietnamese curriculum, helping students develop comprehensively in knowledge and skills.

TH School Vinh is the first school in Nghe An province to be recognized by Cambridge. Parents and students can learn about the Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Levels international secondary school programs taught at TH School Vinh: the competitive advantage of using A Level qualifications to apply for scholarships at prestigious universities; the quality of education and student achievements after graduating from secondary school; and the criteria for awarding scholarships of up to 70% at TH School.
Many families with children in grades 7-9 participated in the event, aiming to learn how to prepare their children for early scholarship applications for studying abroad, especially considering the highly competitive Cambridge International High School program. Ms. Nguyen Thanh Nga from Nghia Dan district, who brought her daughter, currently in grade 8, to the event, said: “I’ve been researching the TH School system for a long time. Today, I brought my daughter to the event not only to learn all the relevant information but also to give her a self-assessment to see which direction is best and most suitable for her development based on her abilities and personality. I also got to meet the teachers and tour the school to feel more confident about her enrollment for the upcoming school year.”
Counseling programs play a crucial role in guiding students' career paths. Through direct conversations, students receive guidance from experts who analyze their interests, strengths, and weaknesses, thereby building a suitable learning plan. In addition, students receive valuable advice on developing essential soft skills and how to leverage scholarship or study abroad opportunities to broaden their future prospects.
