On March 23, TH School Vinh successfully organized the University Fair event. The University Fair attracted the participation of many students, parents and many prestigious universities at home and abroad.

Expand your opportunities, explore potential majors

The dream of studying abroad for Hoang Duc, a 10T4 student at Huynh Thuc Khang High School, was largely motivated by an English teacher he respected and admired. In grade 5, after a 3-month online course with a foreign teacher, Duc's poor English ability improved "remarkably" - according to his friends and teachers. Excited and passionate about a subject that he had previously struggled with, since grade 8, this intelligent and agile student asked his former teacher for permission to join him in teaching charity, free of charge, to those who wanted to learn and improve their English. That was also a step in preparation for Duc's future study abroad, because not only did he improve his English ability, but he also learned how to communicate and learned more experiences from his teacher and even from those he taught foreign languages to.

When he entered high school, Duc was admitted to two famous schools, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Vinh University High School for the Gifted, and a school in Italy, but in the end he chose to study at Huynh Thuc Khang - where his mother is a teacher. "Since I was in middle school, I had decided to study abroad, so I didn't care about studying at a specialized school because for foreign universities, which school a student attended is not important," Duc shared.

With a bright and intelligent face, Duc impresses people with his intelligent, confident and mature way of speaking. "I am still hesitating between many choices, but after being consulted, I decided that if I major in Innovative Teaching to become a lecturer, I will study at Harvard University, and if I major in Psychology, I will choose RMIT University." However, before making the final choice, instead of focusing on these two schools, coming to the event, Duc researched many schools to prepare his application. He said: I think I have not yet fully utilized my abilities in studying. Through research and consultation with teachers and experts, I see that the schools basically require quite similar requirements and conditions in terms of both academic ability and family financial capacity, so I will apply to many schools, both to have more choices and to understand more about my own abilities; Try to get a 100% scholarship or at least a 90% scholarship, you can't put all the burden on your parents' shoulders."

Studying at TH School since grade 11, Hoang Tuan Tu - a grade 12 student at TH School Vinh, has been advised and oriented by teachers about studying abroad. "I had a main plan to study a Bachelor of Biology at the University of Sydney and a secondary plan to study a Bachelor of Nursing. I had planned to study abroad early, but the decision to choose a Bachelor of Biology came from the strong inspiration of the professionalism of my Biology teacher, Le Thi Ngoc Uyen", Hoang Tuan Tu shared. Participating in the event, Tu had a clearer view of what he needed to prepare to achieve his dream.

Not only did they have access to detailed information about training programs from prestigious universities, but they also participated in direct consultation sessions with experts, helping them better understand their interests, abilities, and suitable career choices.

Nowadays, parents and students can access many, many channels of information about studying abroad. However, because of that, in the "forest" of information, among so many choices, parents and students really need career guidance to be able to make smart decisions.

TH School Vinh is the first school to be recognized by Cambridge in Nghe An. Parents and students learn about the Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Levels international high school programs being taught at TH School Vinh: competitive advantages when using A Level certificates to apply for scholarships from prestigious universities; the quality of education and achievements of students after graduating from high school; criteria for scholarships of up to 70% of TH School.

Many families with children in grades 7-9 participated in the event, with the aim of learning how to prepare their children for scholarships to study abroad early, in which studying the Cambridge international high school program creates great competition. Bringing her daughter, who is in grade 8 this year, to attend the event, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Nga in Nghia Dan district said: “I have also learned about the TH School system for a long time. Today, I brought my daughter to participate in the event not only to know all the relevant information, but also to test herself to see which direction is best and most suitable for her ability and personality. I also met the teachers of the school, visited the school to feel secure in letting my child study from the next school year.”

The counseling program plays an important role in career orientation for students. Through direct conversations, students will be guided by experts to analyze their interests, strengths and weaknesses, thereby building a suitable learning path. In addition, students also receive useful advice on developing necessary soft skills and how to take advantage of scholarship or study abroad opportunities to open the door to the future.
