Foreign visitors participate in the Mon Son - Luc Da festival
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, April 14, Con Cuong District solemnly held the 86th anniversary of the establishment of Mon Son Party Cell, the first cell in the western districts of Nghe An (April 14, 1931 - April 14, 2017).
At the ceremony, officials and all the people of the district together reviewed the 86-year journey of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, especially emphasizing the birth of the first Party cell of Western Nghe An in Mon Son commune.

The past 86 years of history have affirmed the position of the Mon Son Party Cell as a brilliant milestone in the golden history of the Nghe An Party Committee. The revolutionary movement of the Mon Son people during the revolutionary peak of 1930-1931 is a symbol of the brave spirit of Party members and the masses following the Party in the struggle for national liberation.

The Mon Son - Luc Da Festival is held annually as an opportunity for the young generation, people and ethnic minorities in the Western Nghe An region to remember the senior cadres, the outstanding children of the homeland who wholeheartedly followed the Party to make revolution, while contributing to promoting the cultural identity that the people here have built and preserved for thousands of years.

This year's festival is associated with the Sports Congress, so after the ceremony, the festival takes place with many exciting cultural and artistic activities, sports, and traditional folk games such as: throwing con, volleyball, tug of war, crossbow shooting, stick pushing, stilt walking, culinary competition, brocade weaving competition, and "Beauty of Mon Son" competition.
