Opening of the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province for the 2024-2029 term
On the morning of July 12, in Vinh city, the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2024 - 2029, officially opened its first session with the slogan "Nghe An Youth: Aspiration - Pioneer - Solidarity - Creativity - Development".
The 7th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, term 2024-2029 is one of 6 congresses selected by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union as a national model congress.
The Congress was attended by 260 official delegates who are excellent representatives of the youth, intelligence and faith of nearly 700,000 young people in the province.
Of which, the total number of delegates who are union officials: 148 delegates, accounting for 56.9%; Outstanding student delegates: 30 delegates, accounting for 11.5%; Representatives of clubs, teams, and youth groups: 58 delegates, accounting for 22.3%; Total number of delegates who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam: 185 delegates, accounting for 71.2%.
In terms of ethnic composition, there are 212 Kinh ethnic representatives, accounting for 81.5%; 40 Thai ethnic representatives, accounting for 15.4%; 5 Tho ethnic representatives, accounting for 1.9%; 2 Khmu ethnic representatives, accounting for 0.8%; 1 O Du ethnic representative, accounting for 0.4%. There are 2 Buddhist representatives, accounting for 0.8%; and 16 Catholic representatives, accounting for 6.2%.

The 7th Congress of the Youth Union of Nghe An province has the theme: "Building a strong union organization, expanding the solidarity front to gather young people; accompanying young people in starting a business and establishing a career; arousing the aspirations, intelligence, spirit of vanguard, volunteerism, and identity of Nghe An youth to contribute their youth to build Nghe An worthy of being the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh".

The Congress has the task of evaluating and summarizing the work of the association and youth movement for the 2019-2024 term, determining the goals, directions, tasks, and solutions for the work of the association and youth movement for the 2024-2029 term; Discussing and contributing opinions to the documents of the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union.
In the first session, the Congress will listen to and comment on the Report synthesizing comments on the documents of the 7th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province, term 2024 - 2029; Report synthesizing comments on the documents of the 9th National Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029; Review report of the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province, term VI, term 2019 - 2024.
At the same time, the Congress will also divide into discussion groups with 2 topics: Building role model values for youth in the new era; Accompanying youth in studying, starting a business, and establishing a career.
The second session of the Congress will take place on the afternoon of July 12; the solemn session will take place on the morning of July 13.
Within the framework of the Congress, many meaningful activities will take place, including: Honoring outstanding youth in various fields; Art program to welcome the Congress "I am a youth of Nghe An"; Organizing social security activities; Painting exhibition with the theme "Pride of a strip of land and rivers"; Displaying and introducing OCOP Nghe An products.
