The 24th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children Football Tournament2022 is co-organized by Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports, Nghe An Department of Education and Training and Song Lam Nghe An Football Joint Stock Company. This year's tournament takes place from June 10 to 16; with the participation of 28 football teams (8 youth teams, 20 children's teams) from 21 districts, cities and towns, with nearly 500 athletes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament, comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament stated: After 2 years of interruption due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this year, with the utmost efforts of the Organizing Committee, the support of provincial leaders, departments, agencies, sponsors, leaders of districts, cities, towns, cultural and sports centers, parents, sponsors, the Youth and Children's Football Cup of Nghe An Newspaper officially returned in the excitement and anticipation of those who love the king sport in Nghe An land.

The 24th Youth - Children's Football Tournament of Nghe An Newspaper Cup in 2022 is an opportunity for teenagers and children who love football and play football well from the beloved Nghe An countryside to return to Vinh city to compete for nearly a week. The tournament promises to create football parties with many dramatic and attractive things... The Organizing Committee hopes that the Football Tournament will be a playground for football teams, players, and sports workers in the regions to have more opportunities to exchange and learn in the spirit of "Honest, noble, and united sports".

Declaring the opening of the 24th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament, comrade Ngo Duc Kien, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, expressed his thanks to the leaders, heads of agencies, sectors, units, businesses, and localities who accompanied and created all conditions for the tournament to take place; sent his best wishes to the players and teams to achieve much success, contributing to the audience many good plays, many beautiful goals, many exciting matches.

At the opening ceremony, the provincial leaders, the Organizing Committee of the 24th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament, and sponsors presented souvenir flags to the teams. On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee presented gifts worth 100 million VND to the athletes participating in the tournament. The Organizing Committee presented gifts to more than 113 players who achieved the title of "Good at playing football, good at studying" - with excellent academic achievements; and presented 20 gifts to students of SOS Children's Village Vinh.
