(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 18, at the 414th Engineering Brigade, the 4th Military Region Command held the opening ceremony of the 2016 National Defense Sports Festival.

The 2016 National Defense Sports Festival had nearly 700 athletes, officers and soldiers from 21 delegations of agencies and units under the Military Region.
Previously, agencies and units organized grassroots sports festivals to select the best athletes to participate in the Military Region-level sports festival.
At this sports festival, athletes will compete in two events, shooting and swimming, with 8 events.
The 2016 Military Region National Defense Sports Festival will take place over 4 days (from July 18 to July 21). At the end of the festival, the organizing committee will award the athletes with the best achievements and form a team to participate in the upcoming military-level sports festival.
