Medical examination and medicine distribution for 300 poor people in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 26, 300 poor patients in Thanh Chuong received free medical examinations and treatment and free medicine.
On the occasion of Buddha's birthday and the Buddhist Congress, the charity delegation of schools, hospitals, pharmacies from the Oncology Hospital, Nghe An Eye Hospital, Vinh Medical University, Central Medical College, pharmacies in Vinh City, Central Acupuncture Association, Quang Ngai Acupuncture Association, Long An Acupuncture Association organized the program "Humanitarian medical examination and treatment" for the poor in Thanh Duc commune and some neighboring communes.

Participating in the program, more than 80 doctors, physicians, pharmacists, teachers, students, etc., examined, treated and gave free medicine to local people; priority was given to families with meritorious services to the revolution, the poor, families in difficult circumstances, and lonely elderly people.
Patients were examined by internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, guided to treatment by massage, acupressure, acupuncture and were given prescription drugs. The program is expected to provide nearly 500 prescriptions of oriental medicine and many Western medicine units for free. The total value of the "Humanitarian Medical Examination and Treatment" program is about 70 million VND./.
