Students are encouraged to return to the Center. |
Previously, at around 8:00 a.m. on November 9, at the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province Labor Education and Vocational Training Center (Toc Tien Commune, Tan Thanh District), during working and vocational training hours, about 200 students from Zone B shouted and agitated each other to go up to the Center's soccer field. When they were stopped by security forces, they ran to the back of the Center, using bricks and stones to fight back against the security forces and breaking down the fence to escape.
After the incident, the Center mobilized all staff to mobilize the remaining students to restore order and at the same time notified the police and military forces to coordinate in blocking roads and ensuring security and order at the Center.
Regarding the reason for the escape of drug rehabilitation students, Mr. Pham Minh An, Director of the Center, said that it was due to the “chain reaction” of hundreds of students at Xuan Loc facility escaping that affected these subjects. In addition, some students were not mentally stable, missed home, and were provoked by other subjects to rebel.
It is known that this is the third time since the beginning of 2016 that drug addicts at the Center have escaped. The largest number was on the night of April 13 when more than 400 students broke through the doors, drilled the walls, and escaped.
