On June 3, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Province Police announced that it had initiated a case and prosecuted 9 suspects led by Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 1993, residing in Tan Lap commune, Yen My district, Hung Yen province) for organizinggambleand gambling.
Previously, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with Yen My District Police, Hung Yen Provincial Police Mobile Police Department and a number of professional units to catch red-handed and conduct an emergency search of Nguyen Van Tuan and 8 other subjects aged 20-40 residing in Tan Lap, Lieu Xa, Nghia Hiep communes and Yen My town, Yen My district, Hung Yen province.
At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed to organizing gambling and gambling in the form of buying and selling lottery numbers via text messages, Zalo, Facebook; and betting on football via the website http: Bmg8899.net.
Preliminary investigation determined that the amount of money transacted by this line from the beginning of 2021 to present is up to over 500 billion VND.

The amount of evidence seized by the authorities includes: nearly 1 billion VND in cash, 5 cars of various types, 16 mobile phones and Internet connection devices.

The investigation determined that the ringleaders also lent money at high interest rates in civil transactions in the form of"pick up their bowl"and"daily interest", high interest rates from 108%/year to 300%/year. When the victim had not yet paid, Tuan directed his underlings to threaten, throw dirty substances into the house, use force and threaten the victim's relatives.
Initial determination of the number of victims is up to 50 people borrowing money worth billions of dong.
